There have been more Lasik advances than any other types of medical advances in the last ten years; this is just one of the interesting facts that I learned while researching for my midterm research paper. I am currently studying to be an eye doctor in college and I chose to write my midterm research paper on Lasik eye surgery. I chose to research Lasik eye surgery primarily because of the high amount of Lasik advances in recent years. This gives me very much material to research and write about. More commonly chosen topics such as Human anatomy have had very little advancements in recent years. Most of what is known now about these topics was known many years ago. Lasik eye surgery is a very new and recently added medical field of specialty and provides for very many controversial and informative topics to research and write about. I hope that my teacher accepts this as a topic for my midterm research paper; I heard that a few other people were considering this as a topic for their papers, but I assure you that this was an original idea of mine, and a very clever one that that, or at least I thought so.
