ORGANIZED LIFE
We were a little nervous to have to get up in front of the congregation and talking about our closet organization project. We had stated the project, which involved cleaning a closet a week at home, with a kind of attitude that we were doing it to be part of the church, but we ended with the idea that we needed to do this. Pastor Flinch is a bit of neat freak, and we thought we were just playing into her idea of having an organized life. Her desk in the church office is spotless. There is not one thing on it. The rest of her office is the same way. There is not a thing out of place; everything is clean and there is no dust on any piece of furniture. When this project was first declared, Pastor Flinch challenged us to find a messy closet in the church or hall. Lottie actually got up and went to one of the closets in the church hall and flung it open. She found that it was clean and neat. Finally, we were called up to the front of the church, and we stood at the lectern and started to tell the church about our project. When we were finished everybody clapped.
