TIME HAD COME

As a citizen of Atlanta Georgia all my life, I knew that when the time came, I would live in the Senior Living Atlanta home. Well, the time had come. I was 76 and it was hard for me to take care of myself. My husband had died four and a half years earlier, and the blow had hit me very hard. It was very difficult to live without him and all on my own. My two daughters had long since moved out and on and I was completely alone, with day-to-day life getting harder to get through with each passing day. It was early May when I decided to make the move, and it was late June when I finally did it. I immediately love it! The nurses were friendly and caring, the food better then anything I had cooked in years, the company unbeatable. Every now and then a church group or a small school choir would come sing for us, and I always enjoyed hearing their young, sweet voices. Sometimes we’d all get together and play bingo, or board games. Just like with so many other things in life, sometimes I’d win, and sometimes I’d lose, but I always had a good time.
