WISDOM TEETH REMOVED
I’ve never had any kind of surgery in my whole life. Not eye surgery, open-heart surgery, or even had oral surgery to get my wisdom teeth removed. I suppose I’ve been lucky. I haven’t even ever broken my bones or gotten stitches for anything. When I talk to most people about this, they assume that I’ve led this highly sheltered life like my parents never let me out of my bedroom and fed me through an intravenous tube. I’m not especially careful either. I don’t wear pads or armor around when I go outside and I don’t wear a helmet at all, let alone when I ride my bike. In fact, it amazes me that I haven’t been injured. I got into mountain climbing a few years ago and my friends dragged me along to go skydiving two months back. Obviously, I’m not just risking serious injury with those two new hobbies, but my own life. I play sports too, I go camping, and I’ve walked under ladders and broken mirrors and everything. I haven’t had bad luck, or at least, not any more than anyone else. I suppose it’s a gift, but everyone, except my friends and family who know better, thinks that I haven’t been out there living life.
